Thank You For the Music

Thank You For the Music
“And I thought about how many people have loved those songs. And how many people got through a lot of bad times because of those songs. And how many people enjoyed good times with those songs. And how much those songs really mean. I think it would be great to have written one of those songs. I bet if I wrote one of them, I would be very proud. I hope the people who wrote those songs are happy. I hope they feel it's enough. I really do because they've made me happy. And I'm only one person.” ― Stephen Chbosky, The Perks of Being a Wallflower There is something magical about music; something so powerful that enables us to connect with it. Music has its own way to lift your mood or put you down. When you listen to a sad song, you feel its’ sadness. When you listen to a positive song you feel uplifted. You create a “running” playlist because these songs make running more enjoyable. Truly, without a doubt, music plays a huge part in our lives. Listen to music The origin of music is yet still undefined by modern science as most traditional instruments from the past were made from perishable materials. So theoretically, evidences of music’s roots of existence are still untraceable to date. Not all of us listen to music, but all of us do consume music of some sort. There's the music from TV ads, the radio, movies, at the store, at church if you attend, and so on. Music is indeed everywhere. It's even in the sound of your annoying alarm clock or the tune of your phone’s ringtone. Music is fun Can you imagine a world without music? A world without the tune to feed your soul or the lullabies to calm the baby to a sleep? Even your usual running routines would be too boring without the sound of your playlist, right? Or, put simply, a yearly Oscar Awards without that sound that gets louder when they announce who won the Best Actor Award? That then, would be a lifeless awards night. Music is a way to express things you can’t say or explain in your own words. It’s the artistic way to express your deepest emotions. When you can’t say the words to a person, you can just make them listen to music. We all have our own preferences when it comes to music and no matter how diverse these choices are, there will always be that tune that resonates your personality or mood. Constantly evolving music While we might not be able to prove the root of music’s origin, there’s one thing that music tells us. It has its own way; evolving its form from generation to generation while never failing to connect with people. So can you imagine a world without music? Whatever your preference might be when it comes to music, it surely plays an impact to your life. So whatever your preferences are when it comes to music, enjoy it as much as you can. It’s a worldly thing that we, humanity, created for each other, to connect and feel through sounds. Wherever the existence of the first piece of music came from, we thank you!
