I don’t know about you, but I often day dream about how fabulous it must have been to have lived as a woman back in the 1940’s and 1950’s. The days of Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe.
There is was something about those days of old Hollywood. The women conducted themselves beautifully and the way that they dressed was a dream.
And the makeup…
It was so sophisticated and simple. Thick eyeliner, a clean face, and a soft lip.
Old Hollywood screams glamour, and just looking at a photo or a video from back then always inspires me to apply my makeup more strategically. Who wouldn’t want to look like an iconic beauty?

Achieving an Old Hollywood look with Everyday Mineral’s products is simple and easier than you think!
Pale skin was with a natural glow was all the rave back in then, so choose a Jojoba base to give your skin that natural sheen, and pick a color that is at least one shade lighter that yours.
This will give your skin a nice glow, without looking chalky.
(Ex- Normally, I would use Honey Beige Matte Base, for this look I used True Beige Jojoba Base)
Using the color corrector stick in Natural Rose underneath the eyes will keep you looking bright eyed and sweet.
You can also use this magical product to conceal or hide any blemishes, stat!
Eyes are simple, yet charming.
Sweep She’s Charismatic Mineral Shadow all over the lid with the eye kabuki brush.
This color looks beautiful on any skin tone and Matte’s out the eye for a neutral base to work with.
Taking the Eye Blending Brush, and a little bit of She’s Truth Mineral Shadow, gently apply some product into the crease of your lid in a back and forth motion blending outwards.
This will make your eyes pop, and give you a sultry yet natural eye.
For a soft, luscious lip make sure to apply a generous amount of Pearly Plush Tinted Lip Butter to those lips!
You can’t go wrong with this color, it complements any pout just the right way!
Using Sunlight Finishing Dust and the Plush Mineral Brush, sweep the finishing dust all over your face.
This will leave you shine free, with a beautiful finish.
Once you have completed these steps, be sure to apply the eye liner last.
You want the liner to be as bold as possible to accentuate the eyes.
Using the brow and liner brush, dip the brush into a bit of water to moisten the tip.
Taking the slightest bit of Walking After Midnight Mineral Eyeliner, start from the top inner part of your lash line with a thin line.
Create a bigger, thicker line as you work your way towards the outer corner.
Bring the brush up and out to get the ever so lovely “cat eye”
