Outstanding Beauty without Cruelty

Everyday Minerals is cruelty-free
Henry Beston once said, “We patronize the animals for their incompleteness, for their tragic fate of having taken form so far below ourselves. And therein we err, and greatly err. For the animal shall not be measured by man. In a world older and more complete than ours, they are more finished and complete, gifted with extensions of the senses we have lost or never attained, living by voices we shall never hear. They are not brethren, they are not underlings; they are other Nations, caught with ourselves in the net of life and time, fellow prisoners of the splendor and travail of the earth.” Such powerful words. For the past years, animal welfare groups including Cruelty Free International, the Humane Society of the United States, and People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), continue to create tremendous campaigns against cruelty for animals used as test subjects in the cosmetic industry. We, at Everyday Minerals, have the same discreet cause since the very existence of our business. In fact, we have signed with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals to help stop cruelty against animals being used as test subjects. In accordance to this commitment we have with PETA, Everyday Minerals' suppliers signed affidavits of agreements to not use animals for testing our raw materials at any rate. In biology class, you likely dissected a toad or two. If you could look back how it felt that very moment, we’re almost sure you felt sympathy and guilt knowing that toad’s life was in your hand. You see, our years in school taught us that animals are the best test dummies and this principle had been around since the dawn of science. Overall, the progress of science owe it to countless of animals used as test subjects. But, that is not how Everyday Minerals works to create excellent products for our fans. We are one with fighting cruelty against animals being used for product testing, it’s simply how we have always operated. Everyday Mineral’s commitment has always been one with the nature and that includes not harming nor using any animals in the process of creating our products. Neither our products, nor any of our ingredients use animals for testing in any phase of the process. We make sure that everything we do - from sourcing the ingredients up to creating the very product itself - complies with anti-cruelty protocols. Everyday Minerals purchase cosmetic and food-grade ingredients that have been evaluated on human volunteers. That being said only means that accuracy to creating the perfect product that matches the need of a person is at its highest positive rate because the product itself was tested on a real human being. No animal was used during the process plus we get a better output for our products. Win, win.

The World is Also Up for a Beautiful Change

Europe has already set their feet to ban cosmetic products that are tested from animals. That means that no product that tested from animals is to step into the European cosmetic market. The United Kingdom has already banned animal testing in cosmetics since 1998. Sao Paulo, Brazil has banned cosmetic animal testing since 2014. Brazil, by the way, this is where Everyday Minerals sources Cupuacu butter, Murumuru butter, and Shea Butter, among the major ingredients in our products. Turkey's government stated they, “banned any animal testing for cosmetic products that have already been introduced to the market." It was in 2013 when India announced they would ban animal testing while South Korea is currently in progress towards completely stopping testing animals for their cosmetic industry. Russia is also participating the cause as Cruelty Free International look forward for achieving a phase out of all animal testing in the country by 2020. Sergei Doronin a senior Duma Parliament member said "It is very satisfying to be putting forward this proposal to bring Russia among the leading countries in the world for the ethical principle of no longer allowing animals to suffer for cosmetics. The input from Cruelty Free International on the legislation has been very helpful and I appreciate the global support for the initiative." This is also supported by Igor Igoshin: "I look forward to the time when animals no longer suffer to bring cosmetics to market in Russia, and I'm pleased with this Bill to contribute to the global effort by Cruelty Free International to end experiments of this kind and adopt modern non-animal alternatives."

So we continue to do our part

At Everyday Mineral, everything we do, we do it to perfect the balance of Mother Nature’s harmony. Right from the very beginning when we started our creating cosmetics, we have never used animals for testing our products. We are bound to this commitment as long as the company exists.
