Hi there! Give us a brief summary of who you are & what you do.

Hey hey I’m Bethany! Im 22 years old, I live in Central Texas. I'm a part time makeup enthusiast, and a full time photographer! I actually stumbled upon photography by accident when I was 13. Both of my parents were photographers so we always had a camera lying around the house. One day my best friend, Meagan, and I wanted to go out and take photos in the back yard, just for fun. My mom showed me how to properly use a camera, and every since that day I haven’t been able to put it down!

When & how did your passion for photography start for you?

I actually stumbled upon photography by accident when I was 13. Both of my parents were photographers so we always had a camera lying around the house. My mom showed me how to properly use a camera, and every since that day I haven’t been able to put it down!

Has there been a major moment or shoot that made an impact on your (photography) style?

Photography is constantly evolving, especially in these last couple of years! I was always pretty confident as a photographer but about a year and a half ago I did a photoshoot on Malibu beach with a few friends and models. To this day its one of my favorite photoshoots that I have ever shot. I think because I really got out of my comfort zone and saw what I was capable of which was something I hadn’t explored until that moment.

What is the best part of capturing moments in weddings for you?

Capturing weddings is really an amazing experience in itself! I have been so blessed to work with the best brides and grooms in every wedding that I have shot. So I think the best part for me is getting to have just as much fun as everyone else there. Celebrating with them, laughing with them, and maybe even dancing with them, while capturing all of those memories for them to have forever.

Who have been your most prominent sources of inspiration up to now?

Honestly, my parents have played a huge part in keeping me inspired. Growing up around cameras has always made me look at things differently, especially through a lens.

What do you do in your downtime, when not tirelessly editing images?

If I’m not working, I’m probably spending time with my friends and my family. I love that!

If you had to pick... Your favorite travel destination thus far?

CUBA! That was truly unforgettable!

Any holiday extravaganza we should know about?

Nope, none this year! I'm actually very excited to be spending the holidays with my family … just relaxing and eating way too much food! Haha!

And, through all your adventures - what are you most grateful for - doing what you do?

I'm so grateful that I get to create and inspire, and that I have the opportunity to work with the people that I do on a daily basis. I have been able to work with, and build relationships with people that I would have never encountered had it not been for my job!

How do you continue to excel at what you do, while remaining true to yourself?

Keeping the goal/dream in front of me and remembering why I started, I think, is really important. Never losing sight of who you are and remaining humble while working hard to make your dream a reality.
