We’ve been taught that what we reap is what we sow. Untangling the metaphor and taking it literally to the heart, these wise words simply say that seeds are among the most important possessions of farmers.
When they have good seeds to sow, they expect good harvest.
Seeds, indeed, play huge roles to farmers and so to Aishe’s life – the very reason why she created a campaign in Kiva. Aishe, together with VisionFund Albania (a subsidiary of World Vision International) made a loan campaign for her to have enough money to buy seeds for her farm’s expansion. You can see Aishe’s campaign here:

Kiva, by the way, allows you to lend money to small-scale producers, farmers, entrepreneur and the like, online.
Aishe is from Albania and a mother of three children. Agricultural job has been her source of income for the past years. The necessity to work is pushed by the fact that her husband, whom humbly earns $8 a day (or $220 a month, the minimum wage in Albania), received insufficient salary to sustain their growing family. He husband is working in a construction company, building pave asphalts and roads.
A lot of people from Albania are like Aishe’s family. As what statistics have cited, Albania is among the poorest countries in Europe. As for Aishe’s financial case, it was hard to obtain those seeds she needed for her family’s farm.
Aishe grows wheat for family consumption. This family farm earns roughly $1600 a year, which is a very huge help to sustain their family’s needs.
Share this page and let’s help Aishe gets her seeds! More seeds for Aishe mean more foods for her family and more income to help raise her 3 kids. Kiva allows you to lend little as $25 for people like Aishe.
